BAKING TIPS

Baking can be messy and things may not go the way you wanted them to go.
Here I will share with you some basic and easy tips to make your baking more enjoyable.

.Have your pans ready. Butter them, spray them, sprinkle them with flour or whatever you need to do. But have them all ready.

.Set all your ingredients ready in different bowls and in order. This will save you time and you will not get confused.

.Have all your appliances connected and ready to be used.

.Preheat your oven. You don't want to start preheating your oven right when your recipe is ready to be put in.

5 FAVORITE BAKED TREATS

Today I'm going to share my five favorite baked treats.

1.Brownies
The thing that makes people like brownies is the texture, they can be fluffy, chewy, fudgy, thin, moist. Baking brownies is easy and they turn out delicious. There are so many different ways to make brownies and everyone has their favorite type.

2. Cheesecake
I love cheesecake, specially the ones from The Cheesecake Factory. The thing that I love the most about cheesecakes is that you can layer them with different things and that's how you have different flavors, but for sure one thing will never change and is the cheesecake part.

3. Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
Who doesn't love cookies? There are so many different cookies but my personal favorite ones are the doble chocolate chip ones. And the best part about eating them is eating them with a glass of milk or cup of coffee.
Give a mouse a cookie...And he'll ask for a glass of milk.

4. Glazed Doughnuts
They are my favorite kind of doughnuts. Sweet, soft, fresh, and a cup of coffee. What else can I ask for.

5. Cinnamon Rolls
Every time I eat a one of them it always reminds me of something special. I think that no matter where you eat them there's a special thing in them that will taste homemade. And that sweet touch of cinnamon makes them perfect.

Which ones are your favorite baked treats?

MINI DARK CHOCOLATE CHIP BROWNIES WITH MINT FROSTING

Brownies:

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup white sugar
4 eggs
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 2/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Mint Frosting:

1/2 cup butter
4-5 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
4-5 teaspoons mint extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3-4 drops green food coloring

Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a 8x8 inch baking pan. Combine the brown and white sugar. Add the oil and beat until well mixed. Add the eggs and stir together. Add the extracts into the mixture. Beat at medium speed for two minutes. Add the salt and cocoa powder and blend until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour into pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Let them cool before adding the frosting.

For the frosting. Beat the butter until it gets fluffy. Little by little add the powdered sugar and milk alternately. If it gets too thick add more milk and if it gets too thin add more powdered sugar. Add the vanilla. Beat in mint extract one teaspoon at a time until desired flavor is reached. Fold in the green food coloring one drop at a time until minty green is reached.

I made a sandwich type of brownies and added the frosting in the middle of two mini brownies, but you can add the frosting wherever you want. I love the taste of mint and chocolate together. I really enjoyed making this recipe. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Tell me what you think about it.

Treat yourself!

THE BEST CHOCOLATE

When we talk about craving chocolate we can't say no. No matter how are we going to have it. We can either just eat it, cook with it or bake with it too. There is something so rich and special about chocolate, that it gives us the opportunity to combine it with a lot of soft and strong ingredients.

One of the reasons we love chocolate so much it's because we want to taste something that will takes us back to a memory, place or moment. And chocolate has that sparkle in it. And the curious thing is that we don't even think about it, we want the experience cause it made us feel good. We are craving a pleasure.

But where can we find the best chocolate? I'm a chocolate lover. I can't say no to chocolate. And I'm always trying to find the best one. Well the truth is there's not a first place for any chocolate. There are really good quality chocolates and there are other ones that are okay. It all depends on what are we feeling up to or what our mind and body is trying to go back to.

Everyone likes different things, we all have our own special palate. That is why we can't award one single chocolate for everyone. It's our choice to decide if we want it as it is or baked in something or cooked with a special ingredient. It all depends on what kind of experience we want at that moment.
